The sixth episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on November 15th. ◇The following contains spoilers.
In episode 6, while Takagi and Sonoko (played by Araki) are busy investigating the truth behind a series of murders, the situation takes a sudden turn. A rival magazine to Weekly Apollo, where Sonoko works, publishes a shocking headline: "Beautiful Reporter Saruhashi Sonoko Suspected of Being a Serial Killer!?" Sonoko is met with public suspicion and fierce criticism.
With nowhere to go, Sonoko takes refuge with Kobayashi (Fujima Sawako), the class representative. Worried about Sonoko and outraged as if it were her own fault, Kobayashi urges her to publish a rebuttal article and tell the truth, but if she does that, Takagi and Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) will become the targets of attack, and neither Takagi's family nor Koyama's company will get away with it. Kobayashi tells Sonoko, who is unsure, to "do the right thing." When Sonoko makes up her mind, Takagi also replies that she should tell the truth. However, Sonoko says she will not write a rebuttal article.
Later, Shinonome (Mai Fukagawa) calls Takagi and the others to the Imakuni snack bar and tells them that Kobayashi had provided information to the former editor-in-chief of Weekly Apollo, who had written a slanderous article about Sonoko. At the same time, Sonoko is accompanied by Kobayashi to visit the grave of his younger brother...
In this episode, in the footage before the commercial break in the main story, Tsuchiya, played by Goriki, who had barely appeared until then, was seen running around. However, Tsuchiya did not appear again after that, and confusion arose on social media. Comments such as "What was Ayame Goriki running for?", "Was Yuki being chased? Was she chasing? What was that brief scene all about...?", "The most incomprehensible thing is that they showed footage of Goriki running up the stairs behind the scenes of the commercial, but it didn't even run for a second in the main story, lol", "Why did they show it this time?", "What was the depiction of her running around in between dramas?" and "I mean, Goriki isn't even appearing this week!" were all posted.
