Until now, the role of Shohei has been played by Kira Miura. In episode 6, Shohei leaves his parents' home and attends a horse racing school, and Miura is replaced by Shogo Ichihara.
Shohei, who had previously said that his dream was to ride the racehorse "Royal Hope," came to watch Hope's final race. On the day of the race, Shohei came to join Kanako, his grandfather Takeshi (Kiba Katsumi), and Kurisu (Tsumabuki), who were also at the venue. When Kanako asked him, "Are you catching a cold or something?" he replied simply, "Shut up."
Meanwhile, Kurisu seemed surprised, saying, "Wow, you've become so much more mature." When asked by Kurisu if he would meet up with Saki Ryujiro (Takasugi Mahiro), who is riding Hope, Shohei replied, "No, I won't. I don't admire him anymore. He's my rival."
On social media, people were talking about how "Shohei has grown up and become a different boy," "Shohei has grown so much!", "Shohei has grown so much, it really made me feel the passage of time," "Wait, last week he said he was going to take the entrance exam for the horse racing school, but this week... Shohei has grown up so quickly," "It makes me cry to see how much Shohei has grown," and "He's not like an idol, he's like a rival. He's become a loyal, fine young man."
The story is based on the novel of the same name by Kazuma Hayami. Kurisu admired her father, who was a tax accountant, and followed in his footsteps, but she experienced setbacks and lost hope. However, her life takes a major turn when she meets Kozo Sanno, a horse owner.
