TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturdays at 9pm) will air on November 15th, titled "30 Years of Akihabara," and will look back on Akihabara's past and present by showcasing nostalgic footage of Akihabara, Tokyo, from the show's extensive archives.
Akihabara is a world-famous electronics district and pop culture mecca that is also visited by many foreign tourists. The program will feature Ishimaru Denki & Satomsen, the creators of nostalgic commercial songs, and the long-established "Onoden" store supported by veterans; the nostalgic "demonstration sales" scene at the department store in front of the station; the famous stand-up okonomiyaki revival online; and the gathering of fierce gamers at the arcade! The amazing skills of the "Beatmania" pro team...
Furthermore, the program will cover trends that were born in Akihabara, such as Train Man, the maid cafe's signature maid that won the buzzword "moe~", and canned oden. There will also be footage of AKB48, which went from being a theater to becoming a national idol group.
The guests are talent Ijuin Hikaru and former AKB48 member and talent Kashiwagi Yuki.
