"Bakebake" Episode 29: The Ushimizu family "falls" and viewers are shocked by the completely changed Tae and Sannojo

The 29th episode of the NHK Asadora"Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi as the heroine, was broadcast on November 6th. In this episode, viewers were drawn to the completely changed appearance of Tae ( Keiko Kitagawa) and her son Sannojo(Rihito Itagaki ).

At the end of episode 28 (broadcast November 5th), Toki (Takaishi) was walking through town when he saw Tae, who was supposed to have left Matsue, sitting on the ground in tattered clothes, begging. Born into one of Matsue's most prestigious families and raised as a princess with no hardships, Tae was unable to bow to someone who had given her charity. Angered by Tae's attitude, the man took the money back and slapped her across the cheek. Toki was left speechless at the shocking sight.

In episode 29, Toki spots Tae begging, but is unable to call out to her and runs away. One day, Sannojo visits the milk shop where Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe ) works, asking for work. Sannojo says, "Ushimizu is a name everyone in Matsue knows. I have the stature to be president," and pleads with the milk shop owner to make him president. The enraged president of the milk shop turns Sannojo away, but Sannojo pleads, "Please make me president!" After that, Sannojo visits other stores and similarly asks to be made president, but no one pays him any attention.

Afterwards, Sannojo returns to the dilapidated temple where he and his son are taking refuge. Tae hands Sannojo to buy her something. Sannojo buys a steamed sweet potato with the money, and on his way home he bumps into Toki, who is at work. Sannojo looks confused for a moment, but then smiles and says to Toki, "It's been a while." After a casual conversation, the episode ends with Sannojo telling Sannojo, as he leaves, "I saw your aunt! She's begging... there she is."
