Actor Takuto Teranishi, a member of the popular eight-member group "Timelesz," appeared on stage to greet the audience at the preview screening of his starring film "Tenmonkan Detective Story" (directed by Ryo Moroe, to be released on December 5th) held in Tokyo on November 6th. This is Teranishi's first leading role in a film, and he excited the audience by emphasizing the "leading role" in his opening remarks, "This is my first leading role, this is Takuto Teranishi's first leading role."
When asked what made the biggest impression on him during filming, he mentioned the first scene where they had to search for the turtle, saying with a wry smile, "The turtle got so nervous that it pooped, and filming had to stop. It couldn't be helped, though." He was also told by a staff member that even when he wasn't on set, he would blend in with the general public and politely greet each extra, and when they commented, "I felt his high level of awareness as the lead actor," he proudly replied, "That's true, word for word," and laughed, "I was just doing what was natural."
Also in attendance at the stage greeting were Yuno Ohara, Higo Ryotaro, Muro Ryuta, Yoshitaka Hara Sho, Hara Yoshitaka, Nishioka Tokuma, and director Moroe.
"Tenmonkan Detective Story" is set in Tenmonkan, Kagoshima, the largest downtown area in southern Kyushu. The protagonist, Ren Usami (Teranishi), who works at a bar and also runs a detective agency, faces the troubles of the town together with his partner, Kento Yamashita (Higo). One day, he meets Nagi (Ohara), a single mother who has escaped domestic violence, and becomes embroiled in a conspiracy surrounding the town's redevelopment... The film will be released in advance in Kagoshima Prefecture, where filming took place, from November 21st.
