The 21st episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi as the heroine, was broadcast on October 27th. In this episode, Matsue Shimpo reporter Kajitani Goro (Iwasaki Udai) made his first appearance, and his unique character attracted the attention of viewers.
In episode 21, four years have passed since Toki broke up with Ginjiro (played by Kanichiro). Now 22 years old, Toki is still struggling to escape from poverty and debt. Toki, who makes a living selling clams, learns from his regular customers, Hanada Heita (played by Namase Katsuhisa) and Tsuru (played by Ikeya Nobue), of the Hanada Inn, that a foreign English teacher will be coming to Matsue.
A few days later, the day finally arrives. Many people flock to the pier hoping to catch a glimpse of Matsue's first foreigner. Kajitani, who has arrived to cover the story, pushes his way through the crowds, shouting, "It's a ferry, it's a ferry, it's a ferry! It's the Matsue Shimpo!"
Kajitani is warned by the governor, Eto (Sano Shiro), "Don't write nonsense. You have a surprising amount of influence." Kajitani replies, "Of course," but then immediately takes notes, muttering, "Governor Eto was also peeing himself with a nervous look on his face." Eto scolds Kajitani, saying, "Don't just write nonsense!"
When the ship finally arrived, Heaven (Tommy Bastow) smiled and waved from the deck. Kajitani wrote down his rather exaggerated impression: "Mr. Heaven was crying tears of joy at the welcome from the huge crowd of over one million."
Iwasaki plays Kajitani, a self-proclaimed accomplished reporter for the Matsue Shimpo newspaper. He closely follows Heaven when she visits Japan. He is in good form and can turn even small stories into big news.
