A special music video (MV) called "Magical Syndrome" was produced in collaboration with popular artist yama, based on the magical girl motif of Chiikawa's popular manga "Chiikawa," and was released on YouTube on October 21st. "Magical Syndrome" is a newly written song that is said to have a bright and pop impression, but also a "magical" feel with a touch of sadness. It will be available on various music distribution services from October 22nd.
The music video features a variety of fast-paced animations, aiming to create a new style of animation for "Chiikawa." It was directed by Yuta Tanaka, who has been involved in storyboarding and directing for the "Pretty Cure" series, including the Pretty Cure All Stars F," and the character designs were handled by Hiroyuki Saito, who has worked on "Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight." It was produced by ENISHIYA, known for "Takopi's Original Sin."
Following the release of the special music video, original author Nagano sent a congratulatory comment and illustration. "The music video is a truly gorgeous and cute video that shows characters appearing for the first time and different sides to Chiikawa and friends in their usual guises. I hope you all enjoy it together.
