◇The following contains spoilers.
In episode 2, a time capsule unearthed for the first time in 22 years at a class reunion reveals a yearbook with the faces of six students, including Takagi, painted over. Takagi becomes embroiled in a serial murder case targeting six people who are hated by his former classmate Sonoko (Araki), and teams up with Sonoko to uncover the truth behind the murders. The victims, Takeda (Mizukawa Katamari) and Sakurai (Kudo Asuka), were attacked in a manner that resembled a "picture of their future dreams." Takagi is horrified by Sonoko's words, "Someone in this class hates you. Someone other than me."
Takagi and Sonoko contact one of the six, Emi (Matsui Rena), to warn them of the danger. Emi's dream is to become an idol, and she draws pictures of herself in the spotlight. Emi, who lives a flashy life as a hostess in Roppongi, Tokyo, apologizes to Sonoko when they meet again. Emi had once stolen Sonoko's matching keychain, and bullied her when she became suspicious.
Meanwhile, Sonoko's coworkers Shinonome (Mai Fukagawa) and Matsui (Ikuho Akitani) are pursuing the whereabouts of an illegal drug boss in hopes of getting a scoop. They discover that the boss is Emi's boyfriend. Having heard this truth from Sonoko, Takagi warns Emi. Sonoko, Shinonome, and the others then infiltrate an event held by the boss... and so the story unfolds.
Later in the story, Emi gives Sonoko a photo of her boyfriend's illegal drug use as a "replacement" for the keychain she once stole, saying, "Teach them a lesson, you bad guys." Meanwhile, Takagi's "Turbo" Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto), who had returned to Japan, is visiting. After Koyama leaves, Takagi realizes that the parody song they used to sing, "The Bear in the Forest," tells him the order in which the six people are killed, and hurriedly tells Sonoko that Emi will be the next target. However, in the midst of this, Emi is pushed out onto the road by someone and is hit by a truck.
On social media, people were horrified by the scene in which Emi is hit by the truck's headlights, which she likens to "a picture of her future dreams." Comments such as "That ending is horrible," "It's too painful," "The spotlight is on me...," "That's brutal," and "That's really scary" were posted.
