The drama is a serial adaptation of a story by Sonomura Hikaru, winner of the first TBS NEXT WRITERS CHALLENGE screenplay competition. The heroine, Hanamura Kaoru, is struggling to find a new job when she meets Hidaka Mamie (Kawaei), the company's president and single mother, at an interview for the venture company RAINBOWLAB. Mamie asks her to act as a substitute for her daughter, Iroha (Ikemura Aoi), who is taking the entrance exam for a prestigious private elementary school.
As a result, Iroha was able to successfully enroll in Ryuwa Gakuen Elementary School. However, the case for the keyboard harmonica that Mamie had made by hand was broken by Keigo Motohashi, a classmate.
Iroha told Kaoru, "Keigo is a nasty guy. He's like Venus. It's the brightest planet in the solar system, but it's filled with poisonous gas." Kaoru couldn't connect Keigo with her mother, Sayuri, who was usually calm and reserved.
Later, Kaoru told Sayuri about the incident with the melodica case. Upon learning the situation, Sayuri panicked and apologized profusely, saying, "Oh, no, I'm really sorry. I've done something bad to Iroha-chan. Um, thank you for letting me know."
On social media, people were talking about how "Tanaka Minami has a really untrustworthy mom friend vibe," "There must be something going on if they cast that Tanaka Minami," "Tanaka Minami is definitely not just a nice person!" and "Tanaka Minami is not going to be just a quiet mom like this."
