The 10th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), in which Akari Takaishi plays the heroine, was broadcast on October 10th, and included a meaningful scene related to the birth of Toki (played by Takaishi), which became a hot topic among viewers.
In the 10th episode, Toki has an arranged marriage with Ginjiro (played by Kanichiro), the eldest son of the Yamane family, a former samurai of the Tottori domain. Toki is hesitant about the prospect of marriage as it becomes more and more real, but the two hit it off over their shared hobby of ghost stories. Toki decides to marry Ginjiro.
The day before the wedding, Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe) was in high spirits, saying, "Finally, O-Toki is getting engaged." Fumi (Chizuru Ikewaki) was also delighted, saying, "Tomorrow, my groom will be here, and my sleeping quarters will become smaller and smaller." As Fumi grilled a sea bream with its head and tail attached, she asked, "Do you remember?"Tsukasanosuke replied, "Of course. I ate it the day O-Toki first came to our house. I was so happy that day." Fumi reminisced, "Yes. Everything was so cute."
At this point, a flashback to 18 years ago is inserted. Den ( Shinichi Tsutsumi ) of the Ushimizu family hands the baby to Tsukasanosuke, and Fumi looks into the baby's face with joy. Tae (Keiko Kitagawa) looks on from a short distance away, as if trying to hold back tears.
In the wedding scene towards the end of the film, seeing Toki excitedly dressed as a bride, Tae says to Fumi, "Ofumi, you've done a great job raising her." Fumi replies, "Yes. O-Toki is my daughter," to which Tae smiles and says, "Of course." Den and Tsukasanosuke look on with meaningful expressions as the two interact...
Up until now, there have been many scenes in the film that hint at the secret of Toki's birth, with comments on social media such as, "They casually revealed the secret of her birth!", "So she was the daughter of the Ushimizu family after all... I wonder if they'll dig a little deeper into it?", "Everyone was vaguely aware of Toki's birth, so it's clever how they brought it in with this nostalgic scene...", "So she was adopted after all", "Otae-sama's face...", "I always wondered why her grandfather kept calling Toki 'Ojo', but maybe it meant 'young lady' after all", and "What's with Ofumi's blatant mother-dominating attitude?"
