Yuki Saito, Yoko Minamino, and Yui Asaka, who debuted in 1985 and are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, will appear on NHK's music program "SONGS" (General), which will air from 10:00 p.m. on October 2nd.
Saito, Minamino, and Asaka, who are part of the "85 group," have a lot in common, such as starring in the TV drama "Sukeban Deka," but they didn't have much contact at the time and hardly had a chance to talk. The program will be full of untold stories, including tales of the hardships of their busy idol days and behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of "Sukeban Deka."
Saito, Minamino, and Asaka will each perform a hit song. Saito will perform her debut song "Graduation," which is still popular as a graduation song, Minamino will perform "Autumn From Now On, Be By My Side," which set a record for eight consecutive number one singles, and Asaka will perform "Cecil," her signature song from when she was known as "the busiest idol in Japan."
