The NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others) will be broadcast on September 20th, looking back on the 25th week, "Kaiketsu Anpanman" (September 15th to 19th).
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). It is a "story of love and courage" that will fill you with the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the 25th week, the picture book "Anpanman" continues to fly low. However, Nobu (played by Imada) still believes in Anpanman and continues to read him to children with a simple heart.
Taka (Takumi Kitamura), editor-in-chief of "Poetry and Fairy Tales," published by Yagi's (Satoshi Tsumabuki) company, is selling well, making Taka busier than ever. Takuya (Motoki Omori) is touched by Nobu's thoughts on Taka's new work, "Anpanman," and decides to turn it into a musical.
Preparations for the musical begin, and Nobu supports the busy Takashi. With the help of Meiko (Nanoka Hara) and Kentaro (Fumiya Takahashi ), things are going smoothly, but ticket sales are not going well.
Meanwhile, Kazuaki (played by Hamao Noritaka in a dual role), the son of the late Tagawa Iwao (played by Hamao Noritaka), a war comrade of Taka and Yagi, appears at Yagi's company.
Kazuaki has a son, but says he doesn't know how to interact with him as a father. "I think it's because I have no memories of my father. So I want to know as much as I can about him," he says, before asking Taka and Yagi, "Why did my father die?"
On the day of the musical performance, the auditorium was filled with many children, and Nobu captured the scene on camera. After the performance, Kusakichi ( Sadao Abe ) appeared with Ranko ( Yuumi Kawai) in tow, carrying Anpan . Nobu, Meiko and the others were delighted to see them. Taka ran up to Kusakichi, who was handing out bread to the children, and was happy to be reunited...and so the story unfolded.
