[Oshi no Ko] TV anime season 3 to start in January 2026

It has been announced that the third season of the TV anime series "Oshi no Ko," based on the popular manga serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha), will begin airing in January 2026. A teaser visual featuring Ruby and a video commemorating the release of the teaser visual have also been released.

It was also announced that Takenaka Yuto, who plays Yoshizumi Shun, an assistant director on the online variety show "Deep Dig☆One Chance!" in which Aqua appears, and Ueda Yoji, who plays Urushibara Tetsu, the director of the same show, will also appear.

"Oshi no Ko " is a popular manga written by Aka Akasaka , who also wrote " Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, " and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari , who also wrote " Scum's Wish ." It was serialized in Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 to November 2024. It tells the story of twin siblings left behind by the sudden death of a genius idol named Ai. The younger twin, Ruby, admires her mother and enters the entertainment industry, while the older brother, Aqua, vows to take revenge on their biological father, who is believed to have accomplices in Ai's murder. The comic has sold over 20 million copies in total.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season from July to October 2024. The live-action adaptation has also been a hot topic.
