Actor Sadao Abe attended a press conference at the TV Asahi headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on July 17th for the drama series "Shiawase na Kekkon" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), in which he stars and which begins airing that evening, along with Takako Matsu , who plays his wife.
This is the third time the two have played a married couple. When asked by a reporter, "What do you like about each other?" Abe immediately replied, "My face," to which Matsu exclaimed, "What? (laughs)?" Abe continued, blushing and laughing, "Surprisingly, I'm not confident... everything."
Matsu, on the other hand, responded with expressions only an actor can offer, "He's a proper actor. That's what makes me think he's an actor. Abe himself is calm, quiet, and has a peace-loving vibe, but during the play, I feel like there's music flowing, I feel the rhythm." She continued, "I think he's a very funny guy. Even when he looks evil... he looks evil, right? (laughs)," to which Abe replied with a laugh, "It makes me happy to hear you say that."
The drama is an original work by Shizuka Oishi , who also wrote the much talked about NHK historical drama " Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e) " last year. Single lawyer Harada Kotaro (Abe) is attracted to and marries Suzuki Nerla (Matsu), a mysterious high school art teacher, but Nerla is hiding a serious secret. The family drama is billed as a "marriage suspense" that questions the love between husband and wife. The first episode will be six minutes longer.
