The third episode of the NHK drama series "Hitori de Shinitai" (General TV, Saturday 10pm), starring actress Haruka Ayase, will be broadcast on July 12th. The subtitle of the episode is "YO! Middle-aged divorce is the enemy of end-of-life planning!". Narumi's (Ayase) father, Kazuo (Kunimura Jun), was selfish and thought, "If I ever need care, Narumi can just quit his job and go back to his parents' house." But...
However, when Nasuda (Hayato Sano) tells Kazuo about the current state of nursing care, including the fact that "there are cases where caregivers are neglected by their children," Kazuo begins to seriously consider his own end of life. Narumi is happy, but he finds out that his mother, Masako (Keiko Matsuzaka), is planning a middle-aged divorce. This is related to her feud with her late aunt, Mitsuko (Sayaka Yamaguchi).
The drama is an unprecedented social comedy about the end of life, based on the manga of the same name by Kaoru Curryzawa, which has been praised as a "laughable gag manga about the end of life." The script is written by Mika Omori, who wrote the Asadora"Asa ga Kita" in the latter half of 2015 and the taiga drama "Seiten wo Tsuke" in 2021.
