It has been announced that the TV anime " The You and I Are Polar Opposites ," based on the manga by Kocha Agasawa , which was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump + (Plus)," will be broadcast on MBS and TBS every Sunday at 5:00 pm from January 2026. It will be streamed on ABEMA every Sunday at 5:30 pm.
It was also announced that Sayumi Suzushiro will play Suzuki, a lively girl who is concerned about what others think of her, Sakata Shogo will play Tani, a quiet boy who is able to speak his mind, and tofubeats will be in charge of the music. The second promotional video was also released, featuring Suzuki, who is concerned about what others think of him and is unable to express his feelings towards Tani, and Tani, who is concerned about Suzuki's attitude towards him.

Sakata said, "I have been reading ' You and I Are Polar Opposites' since it first began serialization on Jump+, and I thought it was a truly wonderful work that was incredibly balanced between pop expressions and fresh teenage conversations, and the universal worries that each character has, and I enjoyed reading it as a fan. I never imagined I would be involved in such a work as a cast member, so I was really surprised when I was told I had passed the audition. I believe Tani-kun is someone who is unaware of the subtleties of other people's hearts, and who somehow seems to complete the world on his own.
