The NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8:00 pm and others) starring actor Ryusei Yokohama . The 25th episode, "Ash Rain Falls on Nihonbashi", aired on June 29th, finally depicted the heart-to-heart relationship between Dare Sode ( Haruka Fukuhara) and Ichi (Hio Miyazawa).
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
In episode 25, Tsutaju (Yokohama), who bought Maruya from Kashiwaraya, gets Ichi's cooperation in opening a store in Nihonbashi in exchange for the "pilfering diagram" possessed by Suharaya (Kotaro Satomi).
Meanwhile, a huge eruption of Mount Asama causes ash to fall on Edo. Tsutaju works hard to remove the ash from Toyu-cho. His efforts stir the heart of Teitei (AI Hashimoto), who had been turned away from him. Meanwhile, Ichi begins to be attracted to Dare-sode.
One night, Ichi visits Daresode at Ooya, where he gives her a fan with a kyoka poem that expresses his feelings for her. Daresode is delighted and says she will make it a family heirloom. Ichi explains the reason why he has avoided getting too close to her: "It would be even more painful to make her work as a spy. I would have no choice but to blame myself, wondering what I am making the woman I love do. I might even wish I had quit Ezo. But I have my own feelings that I must see my life through to the end." He then asks her to forgive his own weakness.
Hearing these words, Daresode invites Ichi to die under his sleeve, saying, "I'll forgive you, so why don't you die under my sleeve?" and then he places his head on Ichi's lap, saying, "It'll just be for show."
Looking up, Dare Sode feels that it "looks like the full moon," to which Ichi responds with a song: "I wish to die in the spring beneath the flowers, when the full moon shines in the second month of the year." Ichi, who "feels like Saigyo," is completely captivated by Dare Sode, saying, "This is bad. This is terribly bad."
Many viewers must have been enchanted by the romantic development, but they were worried about the future of the couple. In actual fact, Ichi lost his life in the "Ichi Palace Stabbing Incident" in Tenmei 4 (1784).
