An illustration has been released to My Dress-up Darling(Kisekoi)," based on the popular manga by Shinichi Fukuda serialized in "My Dress-up Darling Gangan" (Square Enix), which will begin airing on July 5. This will be the first new TV anime in about three years since season 1 aired from January to March 2022, and the original author, Fukuda, has drawn a new illustration.
"My Dress-up Darling" began serialization in "Young Gangan" in 2018, and the final episode was published in the 7th issue of the magazine on March 21, bringing the curtain down on the approximately 7-year serialization. It is a romantic comedy depicting the love story between Gojo Niina, a high school boy training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gyaru cosplayer who loves anime and games. The comic has sold over 13 million copies in total.
Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2022. A live-action drama starring Riko Nagase and Kota Nomura was also broadcast from October to December 2024, which also attracted attention. Season 2 will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from July 5th.
