It has been announced that the popular light novel comic "There was a cute girl in the hero's party, so I confessed to her.", which is published on the novel posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro a Novelist", will be made into a TV anime. The comic is currently being serialized in "Manga Gauga" and "Gauga Monster Plus" (Futabasha), and the series has sold over 750,000 copies in total. The main cast has also been announced, with Kohei Amasaki playing Youki, a former human demon who is reincarnated in another world, and Kana Hanazawa playing Cecilia, a priestess in the hero's party who Youki falls in love with at first sight.
The story is a romantic comedy about humans and demons in a parallel world. Youki, a former human demon who was reincarnated in a parallel world, confronts the hero party that is attacking the Demon King's castle and falls in love at first sight with the party's priest, Cecilia.
Amakasaki commented, "Youki is a former human demon who has been reincarnated into another world. He's 21 years old, but he's grown up while still retaining his chuunibyou heart, and it's fun to play the contrast with that side of him that suits his age. I think it's a great work that's both a love story and a comedy, and I hope you'll pay attention to what kind of relationship Youki builds with Cecilia after meeting her.
