Talent and actor Yuka Kageyama recently visited Zojoji Temple (Minato Ward, Tokyo) to pray for the success of the new drama "Good evening, this is the Asayama family" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sunday 10:15pm *First episode at 10:30pm), which starts on July 6th, together with the stars Nakamura Anne and Ozawa Yukiyoshi. Kageyama, who is known as a member of MENSA, an international group for people with IQs in the top 2% of the population, revealed an unexpected weakness.
The eight main cast members attended the ceremony in yukata robes and received a prayer for the drama's success at Zojoji Temple's Ankokuden Hall. The Tanabata Festival was being held at Zojoji Temple, and after the prayer, the cast members wrote their wishes on strips of paper.
Kageyama's wish is "To become good at transferring trains." When asked why, he said, "I'm really bad at transferring trains, and I can't calculate the time it takes to climb the stairs when transferring. Even after doing thorough research, I often end up not making it in time, so now that I'm 24, I really want to become an adult."
The drama is based on the serial diary "Going Backwards" by screenwriter Shin Adachi, who has also been a topic of discussion for the NHK Asadora drama "Boogie Woogie" in the second half of 2023, and Adachi himself will be the scriptwriter and director. The drama is a home drama in which Asayama Kenta (Ozawa), a screenwriter who works on nationally popular dramas but is a "disappointing husband" at home, and Asako (Nakamura), an "angry wife", overcome the family's difficulties through repeated conflicts. Kageyama will play Kimoto Miki, the elementary school teacher of their two children, Haruta (Shimada Tetsuta).
