TV personality Koji Imada, freelance announcer Akira Fukuzawa, and former member of Sakurazaka46, Yuka Sugai, are the hosts of the variety show "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan" (TV Tokyo, Tuesdays 8:54 p.m.). On the July 1st episode, a phantom 10-yen note that a client won for 5.3 million yen will appear as a treasure.
The client appeared at the appraisal team six years ago with 26 banknotes from the Meiji era. However, most of the banknotes were in tatters, and the appraiser advised him to put more effort into collecting. While searching for clean banknotes, he discovered the elusive 10 yen note. He won the bid for 5.3 million yen.
However, since he used up his retirement money without his wife's permission, if it turns out to be a fake, a huge dispute is sure to ensue... "Are the legendary Meiji banknotes real!?" has been predicted.
