It has been revealed that the first and last documentary film about the school idol group Aqours from the popular anime series Love Live! ! Love Live! Sunshine!!, called Aqours Documentary, will be released on September 26th. A poster visual showing the backs of the nine cast members on stage and a teaser trailer have been released.
Aqours has also been in the spotlight for holding their "final solo concert" "Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours Finale LoveLive! ~Eternal Stage~" on June 21 and 22 at Belluna Dome (Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture), where all nine members performed on stage at the same time. The documentary film portrays the feelings of the nine members who have been through the 10 years since their formation on June 30, 2015, through footage from that time and close coverage of the three months leading up to their "final solo concert."
"Love Live! Sunshine!!" began in 2015 in magazines such as "Dengeki G's Magazine" (KADOKAWA). The story is set at Uranohoshi Private Girls' Academy in Uchiura, a seaside town in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and follows Aqours as they strive to become "sparkling school idols." The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2016, and the second season from October to December 2017. The movie version of the anime, "Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow," was released in January 2019.
