The animated film "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train" was released in October 2020 and was a huge hit, grossing 40.4 billion yen, the highest grossing film of all time in Japan. The story continues from the final episode of the first season of the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba : Kimetsu no Yaiba - Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," in which Tanjiro Kamado, Kyojuro Rengoku and other Demon Slaying Corps investigate the Mugen Train, where more than 40 people have gone missing in a short period of time, and engage in a battle with demons. The first episode of the TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train" is a prequel to the animated film, depicting the mission that Kyojuro Rengoku undertakes on the journey to the Mugen Train after leaving the Demon Slaying Corps headquarters.
The story of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is about Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, joining the Demon Slaying Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon, back into a human.
