Additional cast members have been announced for the animated film "Hyakuem.", based on the manga by Uoto Toyo, who is known for " Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Chi: Chikyu no Undo ni Tsuite), " which was also made into a TV anime. It has been revealed that a star-studded cast of voice actors including Atsumi Tanezaki and Aoi Yuki Aoi will appear. Tanezaki will play the protagonist Togashi when he was in elementary school, while Yuki will play the other protagonist Komiya when he was in elementary school. It has been announced that Togashi and Komiya will be played as teenagers by actors Tori Matsuzaka and Sometani Shota, respectively.
Jun Kasama will play Jingami, a former star athlete in the middle school track and field world who becomes Togashi's teammate on the high school track and field team; Rie Takahashi will play Asakusa, a bright high school girl who tries to recruit Togashi to join the high school track and field team; and Tanaka Yuki will play Shiina, a high school girl who is on the high school track and field team with Asakusa and supports the team.
Yuma Uchida plays Kabaki, a promising runner who will lead the next generation of track and field, Junya Enoki Junya plays Numano, a bright and friendly member of Komiya's high school track and field club, Ishitani Haruki plays Kyoda, the captain of Komiya's high school track and field club who is afraid of Komiya's talent, Ishibashi Aya plays Morikawa, an athlete who admires Togashi, and Tomokazu Sugita plays Onomichi, a long-time friend and self-proclaimed rival of Jinkami.
"Hyakuem." is Uoto's debut serialization, and was serialized on Kodansha's web manga app "Magazine Pocket (Magapoke)" from 2018 to 2019. It depicts the madness and passion of those who are fascinated by the brilliance of the "100m (meter)" in the world of track and field, which lasts less than 10 seconds. Togashi, who is naturally fast and has found friends and a place to belong, meets Komiya, a transfer student who simply runs as hard as he can to forget his harsh reality, and the two gradually become rivals and best friends through the 100-meter race. A few years later, Komiya, who has become one of the top runners, appears in front of Togashi, who is known as a genius runner but is terrified of the fear of having to keep winning... This is the story.
The anime will be directed by Iwaizawa, who was nominated for an Annie Award for his work on "Music," and produced by Rock'n'Roll Mountain, the studio behind "Music." It will be released on September 19th. It will also be released in North America in October.

I will be playing the role of Jinshin. What I valued most in this production, and what I found most difficult, was unadorned raw emotion. Human emotions and feelings are never intended to be expressed outwardly. However, I felt that the value of this production lies in the way that the various raw emotions that humans possess are swirled and output, and that this is the color of the work. Therefore, my first goal in playing Jinshin was to live carefully and without embellishment. I hope you enjoy this whirlpool-like fusion of raw human emotion and entertainment.

I've always run away from running, so I was surprised to see that there are people who establish themselves through running, and that's why they run so hard, they have no choice but to run.
