Gundam W 30th Anniversary Event "Operation Fukuoka" Held

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the popular Gundam anime series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, it has been announced that an event called "Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Event Operation Fukuoka" will be held at TOHO Cinemas LaLaport Fukuoka (Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City) on Getsuku 9th. Hikaru Midorikawa, who voices Heero Yuy, and Toshihiko Seki, who voices Duo Maxwell, will appear as guests. On the same day, a stage event featuring Midorikawa and Seki will also be held at LaLaport Fukuoka.

"Mobile Suit Gundam Wing" was broadcast from 1995 to 1996 as the second installment of the "Alternative Series."

The story depicts the battles of five young Gundam pilots. In the year AC195, the space colonies carry out a Gundam descent mission called "Operation Meteor" against the Earth Unified Alliance, which is trying to rule them by force. Relena Dorian witnesses one of the Gundam pilots , Heero Yuy, and is drawn into the whirlpool of fate... This is the story. It was also the first Gundam series to be broadcast in the United States.
