It has been announced that "25-ji, Akasaka de Season 2," a sequel to "25-ji, Akasaka de," a live-action drama adaptation of Natsuno Hiroko's BL manga starring actors Komakine Akita and Niihara Taisuke, will begin airing on TV Tokyo and other networks in October. The story is a love story set in the entertainment world between popular model and actor Hayama Masumi (Komakine) and newcomer Shirasaki Yuki (Niihara), who won an audition and was selected to play Hayama's love interest. The sequel follows the story of the two who finally come together after unrequited love.
Komakine said, "The thoughts of so many people have come together and I am happy to be able to announce Season 2 to all of you who have supported us for so long. This work has crossed the ocean and reached people in many regions, and you have supported us. Even now, about a year later, there are still so many people who watch over us with the same passion, and I realize that I have been able to be involved in such a wonderful work that is filled with so much love, and I am filled with gratitude. We are determined to deliver something even more refined, so that we can match that passion. Season 2 adds new spice to this delicate story of love between the two characters, and I hope to carefully portray the conflicts and difficulties of life that are unique to the entertainment industry, as well as the work that Natsuno-sensei has created. I will savor my days as Hayama Asui and face them with a sense of responsibility, so please look forward to it."
Niihara commented, "I am truly happy to be able to live the role of Shirasaki Yuki again. I owe it all to everyone who loved this series. Season 2 will feature a different relationship from the previous season, and how will their love deepen and grow as they build their careers as actors?
