"Anpan" Episode 60 Jiro-san survives but suffers from lung disease

The 60th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 am and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on June 20th, and it was revealed that Nobu's (Imada) husband, Jiro ( Ayumu Nakajima), has been hospitalized in a naval hospital, causing concern among viewers.

In episode 60, Nobu's face lights up when she receives news from Jiro, but it's from the Naval Hospital. When Nobu enters the hospital room feeling anxious, she finds Jiro sitting on the bed with a smile on his face. Jiro says, "Sorry for scaring you. Actually, it's nothing serious."

Nobu apologized, saying, "Jiro was right. The war will never end, just like I told my children." Jiro stopped him, saying, "No. Let's stop talking about the war." Nobu replied, "That's right. For now, please just think about getting better."

Jiro acted fine in front of Nobu, but he actually had a lung disease called "pulmonary infiltration." While Meiko (Nanoka Hara) and others were worried, Ranko (Yuumi Kawai) explained, "It's called lung disease, but it's not like tuberculosis. It's not a disease that gets that bad. If it's pulmonary infiltration, there's a good chance it will be cured." Jiro never talked about himself, and Nobu was concerned, saying, "I'm sure he's had some hardships that he doesn't want us to hear about."

"Pulmonary infiltration" refers to a condition in which substances denser than air, such as pus, blood, or protein, seep into the alveoli. In the past, this referred to the early stages of pulmonary tuberculosis.
