The 58th episode of the NHK morning drama " Anpan " starring Mio Imada(General Asadora , Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others) was broadcast on June 18th. The episode depicted a shocking development in which Iwao (Hamao Noritaka) was shot by someone, which became a hot topic among viewers.
In episode 58, the supply lines to the garrison are cut off, and in the tense situation of not knowing when the enemy will attack, Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura) and his friends begin to fight hunger.
Iwao tells Lin (Soraji Shibuya), a local boy whom he loved like his own child, "Listen, don't bother me anymore." Lin is suspected of being a spy, and Iwao says, "Of course, I trust you. But..." "It's time to say goodbye. Thank you for everything." Lin hugs Iwao, mutters "Goodbye" in Chinese, and her eyes turn sharp.
As Takashi and his friends were walking, suddenly, a gunshot rang out. When Yagi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) and others rushed to the scene, they found Iwao shot in the abdomen and lying on the ground. Baba (Itabashi Shunya) tried to run out, saying, "The kid ran over there. Get him!", but Iwao stopped him, saying, "Wait! That's not it! That kid... has nothing to do with this." Yagi said, "Then why did he run away?" and ran after Rin.
Yagi finds Rin hiding in the bushes. Episode 58 ends with Rin pointing a gun at Yagi.
