The 11th episode of the latest installment in the popular Gundam anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, was broadcast late at night on June 17th, and as a surprise insert song, the music unit TM NETWORK's smash hit BEYOND THE TIME (Beyond the Moebius Sky) was played.
The song was the 13th single released by TM NETWORK on March 5, 1988, and was written as the theme song for the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, which was released in the same year.
"BEYOND THE TIME (Beyond the Moebius Universe) -2025 Version-" and "BEYOND THE TIME (Beyond the Moebius Universe) -2025 Short Edit-" will be distributed on various music distribution services. The jacket for the distribution will feature an illustration of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable drawn by Yasuomi Umetsu, which was also used for the original release in 1988.
