Actor Hikari Ishida will appear for the first time in five years on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on June 18th.
Recently, she has been actively involved in volunteer work. She has helped rescue 50 abandoned dachshunds, as well as caring for them and transferring them to new homes. Footage from the scene shows the friendly dogs wagging their tails with joy. She says that her positive attitude toward volunteering is largely due to the influence of Kuroyanagi.
His daughters are now 22 and 20 years old. The eldest daughter went to study in Canada, and the second daughter went to a university dormitory, and they both left home at the same time last year. Although it was only for a year, he cried when they said goodbye, cried again when he checked where the plane was flying, and was so lonely for the first three months after they were gone that he shouted "I'm leaving" into the empty house, spending the time "as if his daughters were still there."
