A teaser PV for the 8th season "FINAL SEASON," the final chapter of the TV anime " My Hero Academia ," based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released on YouTube. The video, which is made up of footage from the main story that has never been released before, depicts a scene that foreshadows the conclusion of the fierce battle between "Symbol of Peace" All Might and "Demon King" All For One.
The trailer shows "Armored All Might", who is "quirkless" but wears a powered suit, facing off against All For One, who has rejuvenated and regained the power of his prime. There is also a scene where Deku, who is throwing himself into the final battle, confronts Shigaraki, the "greatest enemy <villain>", and you can hear Deku's newly recorded line, "Weave. Will. Hope."
"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where about 80% of the population has supernatural powers and quirks, the story follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from April to June 2016, the second season from March to September 2017, the third season from April to September 2018, the fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020, the fifth season from March to September 2021, the sixth season from October 2022 to March 2023, and the seventh season from May to October 2024.
The eighth season, “FINAL SEASON,” will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting in October.
