The musical unit Junretsu will be appearing on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on June 17th.
It's been 15 years since their debut. They were originally a group of six, but due to a series of withdrawals and graduations, they are now down to three. More members have quit than resigned. In 2019, they first appeared on the show, and were expected to be in high spirits as a group of five, performing at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, which had been their dream, but then there was a scandal from their past... We look back on the group's turbulent history.
The only single member, Shota Usagi, got married last year. His wife is Yui Yokoyama, former general manager of the AKB48 group. They met at a Junretsu stage performance, so when Yokoyama contacted the leader, Kazuyoshi Sakai, to say they were going out, he was surprised at how serious the relationship was.
Kuroyanagi, concerned about Ushirogami's extremely busy schedule despite being a newlywed, asks Sakai and Yujiro Shirakawa about the secret to a happy marriage. In honor of Ushirogami's marriage, they will perform two songs in the studio: their hit song "Proposal" and "Starry Street Corner," which they have sung every time they appear on the show.
