The 23rd episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "I am the one who is the best in Edo", will be broadcast on June 15th. In the episode, sumo wrestlers Wakamotoharu, Endo, and Nishikigi, who are currently active in the top division, will appear as sumo wrestlers.
A still image was also released of a banquet in which Tsutaya Juzaburo(Yokohama), holding a large sake cup, is surrounded by sumo wrestlers and the wealthy Shinano merchant Kumanoya (Mine Ryuta).
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
◇ Wakamotoharu (East Maegashira top, Araiso stable)
It's not an experience you can have very often, so it was a good experience for me. I was surprised because I didn't realize there were lines. I was more nervous than usual. Please check out "UNBOUND."
◇ Endo (East Maegashira 11th, Oitekaze stable)
When I was saying my lines, I threw away my embarrassment and did my best. There was a scene where I had to tap Yokohama-san on the shoulder, but I had to think about how hard I should touch him, and how sorry I would be if his body shook, and I acted while thinking about a lot of things. I was nervous during the recording. Ryusei Yokohama san was a cool and friendly guy. I did my best in my acting, so I hope all sumo fans will enjoy watching it.
