To celebrate the birthday of Takeshi Goda, also known as Gian, who appears in the popular anime series "Doraemon" (TV Asahi, Saturday 5pm) on June 15th, an original episode entitled "Does Gian Hate Sundays?" will be broadcast on the 14th. The show will be hosting a photo contest based on the episode, with viewers invited to take part, and the grand prize winner will be announced on air.
"Does Gian Hate Sundays?" depicts the commotion that occurs on Gian's birthday. This year, it is a Sunday, so Gian is annoyed that everyone has forgotten his birthday. Meanwhile, when he finds out that Suneo is entering a photo contest using photo panels of idols, he comes up with the idea of holding a similar Gian photo contest...
Photo panels of Gian that appear in the show will be released as acrylic stands. The acrylic stands come in three designs: "My dear friend!", "I'll sing for 12 hours!", and "Is that mine?" and are available for preorder at the online store, Tele Asa Shop ONLINE. They will also be on sale at the Tele Asa Shop Roppongi store (Minato-ku, Tokyo) and Tokyo Station store (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) from June 15th. The acrylic stands will be presented to the winners of the photo contest's grand prize and runner-up. To commemorate this broadcast, a campaign will also be held to give the stands to 50 people chosen by lottery.
