The "Chiikawa Elementary School Study Guide" series (Kodansha) based on Nagano's popular manga "Chiikawa" has released "Chiikawa Summer Vacation Drills: 1st Grade Elementary School" and "Chiikawa Summer Vacation Drills: 2nd Grade Elementary School." Based on the concept of "Getting into a study rhythm in 15 minutes a day during summer vacation!", each book allows students to review the math and Japanese material learned in the first semester.
The reference book features illustrations of "Chiikawa" and includes questions based on the story. The "First Grade" version comes with an "Addition and Clock Poster" that teaches addition and how to tell time, as well as a "First Grade All Kanji Poster." The "Second Grade" version comes with a "Multiplication Table Poster" and a "Second Grade All Kanji Poster." Both the "First Grade" and "Second Grade" versions come with special stickers featuring the characters.
