It has been announced that Hina Kikuchi, Miss Weekly Shonen Magazine 2020 and also known as the "Reiwa Sold-Out Queen", will appear in the Kansai TV/Fuji TV "Monday 10pm Drama" "We Still Don't Know the School Rules of That Planet". Kikuchi will play Marika Hori, a third-year high school student at Hama Solaris High School, a newly merged boys' and girls' school where the main character, school lawyer Kenji Shiratori, who is concerned about Hayato Isomura, is sent. Visuals of her in a refreshing uniform have also been released.
Marika Hori, played by Kikuchi, is a member of the volleyball club and is the type of person who can get along with anyone, regardless of gender. She starts dating Shogo Fujimura (played by Wataru Hinata) after he confesses his love to her. She helps her mother take care of her grandmother.
Kikuchi commented, "When I found out I'd be appearing in the series, I was genuinely happy and very excited to be involved in it. It's a school drama told from a legal perspective, and I thought it was interesting how as the rules of adults and society are introduced into the school, aspects that hadn't been in the spotlight are brought to light. The series vividly depicts the problems and instability that arise during the impressionable period of being a student, so I would like to carefully portray the worries and conflicts, and the courage that comes from them."
"The character I play, Hori Marika, is a central student at the school. She's in clubs, has a romantic relationship, and seems to have a fulfilling student life. That's why she's often misunderstood, but when you uncover the other side of the story, you'll see her kindness and clumsiness, and I think people will grow to like her more and more. I'm the oldest of the female students I'll be acting with, so I hope I can lead the group."
It was also announced that Yukito Hidaka, Kotona Minami, Wataru Hinata, Rui Tsukishima, Rui Tsukishima, Hana Kondo, Keita Koshiyama, Noserin, Ryu Kitazato, and Eriya will appear as students.
The series is a school drama about the protagonist, Kenji Shiratori, who is timid and clumsy due to his unique sensibility, being dispatched as a school lawyer to a private high school that is in the midst of becoming a coeducational school due to the declining birthrate, and desperately confronting the youth of young people whose problems cannot be easily solved by law or school rules. The script was written by Mika Omori, who has also worked on "Asa ga Kita" and "Seiten wo Tsuke", and the cast includes Mayu Hotta, Kami Hiraiwa, Miwako Ichikawa, and Goro Inagaki. It will be broadcast on KTV/Fuji TV every Monday at 10pm from July 14th.
