Miyabe Nozomi, who plays the heroine Amane Yukika in the special effects drama "Kamen Rider Gavv" (TV Asahi), will appear in the drama series "Broadcasting Station Occupy" (Nippon TV, Saturday 10pm) starting in July. She will play Manabe Nonoka, a talent who is captured and taken hostage by an armed group.
Nonohana is a model and actor who has appeared on television many times. She is intelligent, has good conversation skills, and is not afraid to express her opinions to people older than her. She has a strong interest in political issues and actively posts about them on social media.
Miyabe commented, "I am truly honored to be able to appear in the new series of such a wonderful work. As the story is set in a television station, I have been curious to know how the story will unfold since I first read the script, as it tells the story of what goes on behind the scenes in modern-day news reporting and how the power of information will affect the story. The drama is the third installment of the "Occupy Series" in which Sho Sakurai plays the hot-blooded detective Saburo Musashi. One year after the airport occupation incident, Musashi, who has been transferred to the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division "BCCT", is now involved in a broadcasting station occupation incident and investigates with his new colleagues.
Also announced as hostages are Shigeyuki Totsugi, Akira Fukuzawa, Reiko Kataoka, Nagisa Saito, Daichi Yamaguchi, Akira Mayama, Yoshiaki Kameda, and Takashi Kitadai. Totsugi will play TV station producer Daichi Amami, Fukuzawa will play popular news Caster Kanji Nadami, Kataoka will play Seira Okino, head nurse at a university hospital who is running for governor, and Saito will play Hisui Kutsuna, an assistant director at the TV station.
Yamaguchi will play Shikine Junpei, a popular actor and son of the Chief Cabinet Secretary; Mayama will play Oshibuchi Sanshiro, the current Governor of Tokyo; Kameda will play Hide Tetsuma, a talented director of a news program; and Kitashiro will play Mikawa Ryutaro, the representative and coach of a prestigious soccer school and a candidate for Tokyo governor.
