The NHK BS period drama "Ooka Echizen 8" (NHK BS Premium 4K, Sunday 6:45 pm), starring actor Katsunori Takahashi, will begin airing on June 8. The latest (8th series) of the definitive period drama depicts the exploits of Ooka Echizen no Kami Tadasuke, a famous magistrate during the time of Tokugawa Yoshimune, the eighth shogun of the Edo shogunate, and will have you laughing and crying at the human emotions and cheering for the resolution of crimes.
Takahashi, who will be starring for the second time in the series following the seventh series to be broadcast in 2024, will continue to play the role of Ooka Tadasuke.
