"Shinjuku Anime Song Scope" is a website where anime buyer Higuchi Sho from Tower Records Shinjuku, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, reports on best-selling anime songs and the voices of those selling them. The number one song at the store from May 25th to June 1st was "Sugosugi Maebashi Witches ! / Sorezore no Door," which contains the theme song for the TV anime " Maebashi Witches ."

" Maebashi Witches" is an original anime that began airing in April and depicts the growth of five high school girls who aspire to become witches, set in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. The opening theme (OP) and ending theme (ED) sung by the idol unit "Maebashi Witches," made up of the voice actors who play the main characters in the anime, took the top spot with "Sugosugi Maebashi Witches! / Sorezore no Door." The lyrics of the opening "Sugosugi Maebashi Witches!" were written by music producer Tsunku, which has also attracted attention.
Coming in second is "Honey Lemon," the opening theme song for the TV anime "The Shiunji Family Children," performed by the unit "NACHERRY" consisting of voice actors Natsumi Murakami and Chiemi Tanaka. In third place is the second album, "Game App "World Daistar Yume no Stellarium" Vocal Album Vol.6 "Planetarium Revue Act-2," which is a collection of songs sung by members of "Gingaza" from the smartphone music game app "World Daistar Yume no Stellarium (Yume Station)." The album series "Sirius no Kagayaki no Youni Act-2" from "Yume Station" also ranked in 10th place.
In fourth place is "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION MOVEMENT OF "STARS" Bestest!!," which includes the in-game song "Bestest!!" from the popular game "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! Theater Days (Mirishita)," and in fifth place is "Sokubutsuteki Ensemble ," the first EP by "Shichi-Jigen Seitokai!", a unit from the VTuber/virtual liver project "Nijisanji."
In sixth place is "Dear my Soleil," the ending theme to the TV anime " Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) ," sung by voice actress and singer Hina Tachibana . In seventh place is "Aspire," the third album by the school idol group Liella! from " Love Live! ! Superstar!!," part of the popular anime series Love Live!. In eighth place is "Daremo," the 10th single by Togenashi Toge Ari, the band featured in the TV anime Girls Band Cry. This time around, many of the theme songs from spring anime made the list.

Higuchi Sho is a buyer in charge of anime at Tower Records Shinjuku store, 7th floor (Japanese music/sales promotion). He was transferred from the Machida store in 2014. He got into anime because of 1990s works such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "BLUE SEED", and "VS Knight Ramune & 40 Flame", and among anime songs, he loves listening to character songs, especially songs related to idol anime. His favorite anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "The Idolmaster Million Live!". His favorite anime and games include "Pretty Rhythm", "The Idolmaster", "Photo Kano", and "Sakura Wars".
