It has been revealed that Haruka Sakura , Niei Akihiko, and Sofang Junhi, who appear in the TV anime "WIND BREAKER," based on the popular yankee manga by Nii Satoru Nii being serialized on Kodansha's web manga service "Magapoke," will appear on the back cover of the 2450th issue of the women's magazine "anan" (Magazine House), which goes on sale on June 11th. A newly drawn illustration for the back cover has been released, showing the three of them dressed in black suits, showing a stark contrast to their usual uniforms.
When the original author, Satoru Nii, saw the newly drawn illustration, he imagined, "What if anan existed in the world of 'WIND BREAKER'..." The issue also features "behind the scenes stories" from Haruka Sakura and the other three, in which they discuss topics such as "Do the three even know about anan?", "Which other characters besides the three seem to read anan?", "How do they spend their time on set and how do they react?", and "Do they eat bento?"
The magazine will also feature a long interview with Satoru Nii , as well as individual interviews with Yuma Uchida , who plays Haruka Sakura in the anime, Shoya Chiba, who plays Nirei Akihiko, and Nobunaga Shimazaki , who plays Sohaku Junhi. The voice actors were all asked the same question: "How would you describe the relationships between Sakura, Nirei, and Sohaku in one word?" and their answers reflected their personalities and how they view the characters.
"WIND BREAKER" began serialization on Magapoke in January 2021. It depicts Haruka Sakura , who enrolls in Fuurin High School , a school notorious for being an extremely delinquent school, and her fight as a member of the Bofurin group, which protects the town. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2024. The second season, "WIND BREAKER Season 2," is currently airing on the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO."
