Actor Kazuki Enari will appear in the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring Ryusei Yokohama , from episode 21, "Ezo no Sakura Ueno no Heoto", which will be broadcast on June 1st. This will be Enari's first appearance in a Taiga drama.
The role he plays is Matsumae Michihiro, the eighth head of the Matsumae family. He has a free-spirited personality and is not above going overboard at times. He is on friendly terms with the three Gosanke members, such as Hitotsubashi Harumori (Ikuta Toma), and engages in political maneuvering against Tanuma Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe), who is trying to advance the confiscation of Ezo.

When his appearance was announced in April, Enari recalled, "When I first visited NHK for work at the age of 10, I spotted a studio where a historical drama (probably "The Eighth Shogun Yoshimune"?) was being filmed, and I vowed to myself, 'I want to work in that studio someday!'"

"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
