The final episode of the drama series "Itsuka, Hero" (ABC/TV Asahi, Sunday 10:15pm) starring actor Kenta Kiritani will be broadcast on June 1st. Photos and comments from the main cast, including Kiritani, of the wrap-up have been released.
Kiritani, who played the protagonist Akayama Seiji, who confronts the powerful with his former students, said with tears in his eyes, "This is truly a milestone work for me. I feel happy just being able to act on set like this, and I realized that I really love acting. I was really supported by the professionalism of everyone on set, who kept smiling even during difficult times. I am truly, truly, truly grateful from the bottom of my heart." He continued, "I've come to love my life more than once thanks to 'Someday, a Hero.'"
Ryubi Miyase, who played Himuro Kaito (Shibuya Yuuki), a former student of Akayama who has been brainwashed and stands in the way of Akayama and the others, commented, "This was my first time playing a psychopathic character whose emotions are a mess, so the filming was very stimulating every day. There are many works that feature heroes as their theme, so I am happy to have been able to create a work that depicts a new image of a hero with everyone, and I hope that many people will watch it until the final episode so that the message of this work will reach everyone."
In the final episode, Akayama and his group's plan to destroy Dream Corporation temporarily stirs up public excitement, but is suppressed by Dream Corporation Chairman Wakaouji Koutake (Kitamura Yukiya) who uses his overwhelming power. Meanwhile, Akayama refuses to give up on restoring the courage of his student who has been brainwashed by Wakaouji and is living as Himuro, and summons him to the site of the "Road of Hope" where he buried the time capsule 20 years ago. Not only Akayama, but also Higuchi Yukari (Neru Nagahama), Nonomura Hikaru (Izumisawa Yuki), Katano Rui (Sota Ryosuke), and Kimihara Ibuki (Yuna Hoshino) desperately try to persuade Himuro to break his brainwashing.
