The sixth episode of the TV drama "PJ: Air Rescue Team" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring actor Seiyo Uchino, will be broadcast on May 29th.
Fujiki (Anna Ishii), who was aiming to become a rescuer (commonly known as PJ, or pararescue jumper), declined the offer. It was alleged that the reason was that her instructor Usami (Uchino) had pushed her to the brink, and Usami was ordered to take a break.
Instead, Oyama (Hidekazu Mashima) is in charge of the training, but the students are shocked by Usami's absence and lose focus. Hasebe (Aoto Watanabe), who especially respects Usami, begins to think that he might be able to cancel the self-restraint if he asks his father, a senior officer in the Self-Defense Forces.
At that time, a large-scale disaster occurred in Nagano Prefecture due to continuous heavy rains. Due to a shortage of personnel in the local police, fire department, and nearby rescue teams, the elite rescue training team was also dispatched. The rescue workers, who continued their desperate rescue efforts at the scene, discovered a man collapsed at a school on a cliff. Just as they were about to retrieve him from the helicopter, they heard a rumbling sound coming from the mountain. As they rushed to retrieve the man, fearing a collapse, they heard a faint cry coming from the back of the school building...
The screenplay was written by Izumi Takahashi. The story depicts students aiming to become rescuers for the Air Self-Defense Force's Air Rescue Wing, an elite rescue unit known as the "last stronghold" for saving lives, as they go through rigorous training under the strict and unconventional instructor, Usami.
