The drama is set in Kamakura and is the third season of a romantic, home-comedy series depicting the love story between Koizumi, a TV producer, and Nakai, a civil servant working at Kamakura City Hall. The script was written by Yoshikazu Okada, who also wrote the first season in 2012 and the second in 2014. This work takes place 11 years after the second season.
In episode 6, Chiaki (Koizumi) returns to her hometown in Ueda, Shinshu. As she walks along a country road and recounts her childhood memories, Wahei (Nakai) listens to her. Wahei accompanies her on the trip, disguised as Chiaki's "common-law lover".
