It has been announced that "Things They Don't Teach You in School," a practical children's book series published by Obunsha that has sold over 4 million copies, will be made into a TV anime and will air on TV Tokyo from the summer of 2025.
"Things They Don't Teach You in School" is a series of practical books for children that began publication in July 2015. Going beyond the boundaries of subjects taught in school, the manga teaches children skills that will be useful in the future in a fun way. The lineup includes tips on organization, time management, study techniques, and human relationships. The series will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025, and will now be adapted into an anime for the first time.
In the anime, unique and reliable "experts" appear before elementary school students who are struggling with issues such as "I'm not good at tidying up," "I keep putting off my homework because I'm so obsessed with games," and "My grades aren't improving as much as I'd like," and provide passionate instruction to teach them important things that they should learn but that they won't learn at school.
In the "Tidying Up" episode of the anime, Haruka Chisuga will play the main character, Seita, and it has been announced that Yumiri Hanamori will play Seita's younger sister Rika, Makoto Koichi will play Seita's mother, Fukushi Fukushi Ochiai will play Teacher Seton, and Koki Ozuzu will play Kattan.
