It was announced on March 7 that actors Yoshio Inoue and Emma Miyazawa will be presenting live on WOWOW's broadcast of the 78th Tony Awards ceremony, which will be held in New York on June 9 (Japan time). This year marks the 11th time that WOWOW will broadcast the Tony Awards ceremony live, and it will be the fifth year in a row that Inoue and Miyazawa have teamed up as presenters.

The Tony Awards season has come around again! The Tony Awards show the cutting edge of global entertainment. With the world famous diva Cynthia Erivo as the host this year, the attention is sure to be even higher. I will be teaming up with Emma Miyazawa from Japan for the fifth year, and as I will be performing in Osaka on the day, we will be broadcasting from both Tokyo and Osaka, making the broadcast even more lively and glamorous. This year, I will be able to share information about Broadway on the ground as well as my own impressions. I am also looking forward to seeing the guests. Although it will be broadcast early in the morning, let's experience the Tony Awards together again this year!

This is my fifth year as the Tony Awards host. I'm very happy to be able to watch this theater festival again this year with all the Japanese theater lovers at the peak of excitement from early in the morning! As well as the performances, I'm curious to see what kind of messages will be conveyed through the acceptance speeches this year in America, where the political situation is changing rapidly, and I'm also personally very excited to see Cynthia Erivo, who played Elphaba in the movie "Wicked," host the event. With Yoshio Inoue and all the wonderful guests, we will deliver a Tony Awards that is fun to watch and fun to talk about, with the utmost love of theater, so let's enjoy it together!
