In anticipation of the start of the second season of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura Yatsura" and "Inuyasha," on July 4th, it has been announced that a video reviewing the first season will be released on YouTube at noon on July 4th. The video will feature Otoya, voiced by Momoka Terazawa, and Hyakka, voiced by Hiro Shimono Momoka Terasawa , reviewing the first season in a picture-story show format. A still from episode 14, "The Iron Mask," which will be the first episode of the second season, has also been released.
"MAO" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it is a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery in which Mao, an onmyoji who has lived for 900 years, meets Koyo Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise.
It airs every Saturday at 11:45 PM on NHK General TV.
