It has been revealed that Yoshimi Tokui of the comedy duo "Tutorial" and Nashiko Momotsuki Momotsuki, who is active as an actor and model, will co-star in the TV Osaka drama series "Reiwa ni Erotic Novel Tsukutemasu," which will begin airing in January 2026. This will be the first time the two will star in a terrestrial TV drama, and the unique work-related drama will be set in the editorial department of an erotic novel publishing company.
The story is based on "Making Erotic Novels in the Reiwa Era" (written by Sato Yuki, original idea by France Shoin Editorial Department), a true story that took place at France Shoin, a publisher of erotic novels. Tokui plays Tamagawa Jouji, the calm and passionate editor-in-chief who oversees the erotic novel editorial department, which is full of unique personalities, while Momotsuki plays Oizumi Mashiro, a new editor who dreams of becoming a manga editor but is unexpectedly assigned to the erotic novel editorial department. The story depicts the comical exchanges between the two characters and the eccentric characters surrounding them, as well as the story of an erotic novel editorial department that dares to compete solely with "printed words" in this Reiwa era, when a wide variety of content is available online.
Tokui expressed his respect for erotica, saying, "For many years, I have lived my life with more respect than most," and expressed his joy, saying, "I am delighted to have been given the ideal role of editor-in-chief of an erotic novel publishing company." "I'm Writing Erotic Novels in the Reiwa Era" will be broadcast on TV Osaka every Wednesday at midnight starting January 7, 2026. It will also be available for unlimited streaming exclusively on DMMTV from 12:30 a.m. on the same day.
