Yokoyama Yu of the popular group "SUPER EIGHT" attended the premiere event for Abema's original drama "Scandal Eve" held in Tokyo on November 18th. His co-star in the drama, Kodai Asaka, looked back on their memories from when they were in the same agency.
Asaka asked Yokoyama, "Do you remember me?" Yokoyama immediately replied, "Yes, I remember. We were in the same company, right?" Asaka replied, "Yes! It was a little less than 20 years ago, but I was a junior."
When Yokoyama replied, "I know that," Asaka was thrilled and said, "You remember!" Yokoyama replied, "You did it with the Hey! Say! JUMP members, right? I remember!" Asaka smiled and said, "I'm happy! I often danced in the background," to which Yokoyama laughed and said, "I don't know about that."
Although the two had never spoken, Asaka recalled, "She was a senior I really admired." Yokoyama responded, "It seems like it's OK to say I admire her, but there's no way I would ever admire her!" Asaka replied, "No, I admire her," and said with shining eyes, "I'm so happy to be able to work with her again like this."
Yokoyama said, "It was very moving for me too," and reminisced, "I've been watching it since I was a teenager. It was so small then. It was so big. I knew it would be a hit even back then."
Also in attendance at the event were Ko Shibasaki, Kawaguchi Haruna, Yanagi Shuntaro, Jun Hashimoto , Nagisa Saito Mizuki Kayashima , Saito Nagisa, Hosumi Mahiro, Suzuki Kosuke, Yusuke Santamaria, and Honami Suzuki.
The drama is a suspenseful story depicting the forbidden battle over a scandal between an entertainment agency and a weekly magazine. Just as F, the leading actor of the entertainment agency "Rafale," lands a starring role in a terrestrial TV drama, the agency's representative, Saki Ioka (Shibasaki), hears an announcement from a weekly magazine that F's "adultery scandal" will be published. The article was written by Kanade Hirata (Kawaguchi), a reporter for Weekly Buncho, who has exposed the scandals of many celebrities. With 72 hours left until the article is published, a fierce battle between the agency and the weekly magazine over the publication of the scandal begins. Then, new facts hidden behind the scandal draw her into the deep darkness of the entertainment world.
