It has been announced that the first large-scale exhibition of Nagano Mamoru, known for the manga "Five Star Stories" (KADOKAWA), "DESIGNS Nagano Mamoru Design Exhibition," will be held at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B in Ikebukuro, Tokyo from December 19th. The exhibition was held in Saitama in February 2024, and traveled to Aichi, Fukuoka, and Osaka. This will be the first time it is held in Tokyo, and in addition to works added at the Osaka and Fukuoka venues, new exhibits will be on display for the first time. It will run until January 12th, 2026.
It was also announced that a screening of the animated film "Flower Poet Gottimaed," which Nagano worked on, will be held. The film was released in 2012, but has never been packaged or distributed, and is therefore also known as a "legendary anime." Details of the screening will be announced in the future.
The exhibition will display original drawings, illustrations, setting drawings, rough sketches, and more from works produced before his commercial debut, as well as works from his previous works such as "Heavy Metal L-Gaim-Gaim," "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," "Brain Powerd," "Shellbright," "The Five Star Stories," and "Gothicmade: The Flower Poet."
